X Home Easy

For villas and estates in the United States and Canada

Work out whether a wired estate system suits this house — before the contract is signed.

X Home Easy is a neutral decision aid for Control4, Crestron, Savant, and Lutron. You read a budget range, check the source of every statement, and ask an integrator the questions that become expensive later. A paid membership does not change the order of integrators.

The phone and the website belong together

In the app you choose owner or integrator. Owners give the street; the house number stays in the account until a specific request. A claimed integrator listing can show a street. The house number is not on the public directory. Search widens from 5 to 500 miles in the United States, or kilometres in Canada, and then stops. Payment does not change the order.

How you get from the question to the installation.

A licensed integrator builds the system. X Home Easy makes the decision and the request complete. The path is open on this page. Line-voltage wiring and dealer programming steps are not here.

    This page

    This introduction

You do. You read which step provides which help.

You get. You see that the installation belongs to a contractor and the app prepares the request.

    Reference cases

You do. You open five houses when you want a comparison.

You get. An outline and the next questions. Not a quote, and not the start.

    Fit

You do. You state the house, the building phase, the budget, DIY, and freedom to change supplier.

You get. A direction among a wired host, a retail system, or a hybrid. Every cell has a source. No mark for a company.

    Request

You do. You ask for a split total and for the project files, passwords, and admin accounts before the final payment.

You get. A request a contractor can answer. That is the implementation support.

    The system is built

You do. The registered contractor installs, programs, and hands over.

You get. X Home Easy does not describe the wiring or the dealer programming steps for that.

Every statement carries a source grade

The grade is a shape and a word. Colour does not carry the meaning on its own. A click opens the source and the date it was checked.

Control4 publishes its own scale

The company page cites 500,000+ homes, about 6,000 authorized integrators, and 25,000+ third-party devices. That is a manufacturer statement, not a share of this house.

Lutron HomeWorks is a lighting and shade base

HomeWorks is the usual lighting and shade base beside a control host. A high CEDIA mention share is not a statistic that every house uses it.

The professional channel is not the retail one

CEDIA’s 2026 research, as reported by CE Pro, puts U.S. residential technology integration at about $33.8 billion. That is the professional channel, not a count of every dealer.

A published whole-home band, not a bid

Trade press reviewed on 2026-10-21 describes about $50,000–$120,000 for Control4 plus a Lutron base on a 5,000–8,000 ft² house. Savant is often described as $20,000–$40,000 higher, and Crestron Home about $80,000–$180,000. Not a quote.

A published band for a roughly 5,000–8,000 ft² house with Control4 and a Lutron base is $50,000–$120,000 (trade press, reviewed 2026-10-21). Not a quote.

Listing rank is Silver, Gold, or Platinum

A new claimed profile starts at Silver. An unclaimed Silver entry shows no email and no street. Payment does not change the order.

Example: a Silver partner with no claim on the profile. Email, phone, and street address are not shown.

Control4 can change integrator after OvrC

After the project is transferred in OvrC, the household can change Smart Home Pro at customer.control4.com. Crestron and Savant do not use that page. Their files and subscriptions belong in the contract.

How partners are ordered

The order uses only distance, listing rank, the number of checked projects, and response time. A paid subscription does not change this order. A paid placement would stand apart and be labelled Sponsored.

Electrical safety and limits

In the United States and Canada, line-voltage work on the premises belongs to an electrician licensed for that state or province. There is no single federal licence that replaces that check.

Low-voltage design still follows the local rule and the manufacturer. The integrator does not become the electrician because a control system is involved.

X Home Easy does not describe line-voltage wiring, electrical-panel layouts, or steps inside Composer Pro, Configure Pro, or Savant dealer tools. That work belongs to a licensed electrician or an authorized integrator.
